The Once Monopolistic Liberal Media Is Getting Competition

September 27, 2009

The liberal wing of America’s dominant media is livid, while those of us  who who are conservative, but support the first amendment and a free press, are hopeful we are moving toward more balanced political reports from the “big guys” of journalism. The exploding point came when Fox News ran full page ads in the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post. The ad showed a picture of the throngs in Washington, D. C., for the recent “anti-tax” rally with a headline saying “How Did ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN Miss This Story?” Those of us who are conservative, and that is a significant majority in our region, felt the elite mainstream media did everything it could to bury the story of the anti-tax march on Washington, including stories mocking the people attending, and belittling the whole thing. The Fox News ad, in our judgement, nailed it. As could be expected, the TV networks went nuts. They can’t stand competition. But out here where we-the-people live, and where a lot of our neighbors went to Washington, or to local gatherings like the one in Cumming, there was cheering in the streets. Bloggers confirmed the size of the huge crowd in Washington with pictures  But there is more good news. John Stossel, who openly stands for individual liberty, is leaving ABC and going to Fox News. So …between Fox News with newcomers Glen Beck and John Stossel to bolster  Limbaugh and Hannty, and cell phones and bloggers, the once monopolistic liberal media is finding it harder and harder to hide the good news of conservatism.

The Liberal Media Can No Longer Hide The Rallies

September 18, 2009

America’s elite mainstream media tried to bury last Saturday’s one-and-a-half-million person “Tea Party” in Washington … just as they tried to downplay the first tea bag backlash against Washington’s big government, high tax Obama programs. The elite media folks who reported on the Washington event which opposed Obama, Pelosi and Company did not mention the number of people in Washington, or that they had come on their own from all over the United States, or even that they covered the entire mall. Their news coverage quickly switched to a gymnasium in Minnesota where 15,000 Obama loyalists had been given free tickets to hear the President give a fiery speech in favor, of course, of his ObamaCare plan. Meantime, millions of Americans were watching on the internet where conservative  bloggers were covering the Washington program in detail, and people on the mall were e-mailing folks back home, and giving them much more than a Twitter report. Here in the Atlanta metro area, print media and TV did not cover the 300 people at the anti-tax rally in Cumming, but AccessNorthGA.com reported with a story and a photo, and it became one of their top stories of the weekend. Not since the Ronald Reagan era have I seen conservatives as fired up as they are right now, and the fact the mainstream media is trying to bury this news only makes we conservatives more determined to fight socialism to the end. For the fact is, with cable news, talk radio and especially the blogs and the entire internet, we DO KNOW what is going on. The Grass Roots Is Rightfully Angry With Obama

September 16, 2009

One-and-a-half million American citizens gathered on the mall in Washington, D. C., last Saturday to tell the Obama-Pelosi regime they do NOT approve of their socialist programs. These were every-day, grass roots Americans who paid their own way to be there because they feel strongly that the liberal Democrats in Washington are taking America the wrong direction, and I want to thank the many people from Northeast Georgia who represented us at this historic rally. And there were local people who couldn’t get to Washington who wanted to be heard, also, and they found ways to speak out and support all of those people in Washington. More than 300 people gave up their Saturday afternoon football to gather at the Cumming Courthouse to speak forcefully to Washington that enough is enough and it’s got to stop. One of the speakers was Dr.  Michael Hogan, a resident of Forsyth County since 1989, an Orthopaedic surgeon who was born in England and educated in Canada, who explained without stuttering why we in America do NOT want socialized medicine. But this group was upset with a lot more than socialized medicine. They are angry with big government, out-of-control spending, the obvious inflation and higher taxes that are coming. They are furious that this Trillion-dollar spending spree will be passed off to our children and grandchildren. Some of them came from the silent majority, and they are determined to no longer be silent … both now and at the next election. This is Gordon Sawyer reminding you that any government which can give you all you want, can also take from you all you’ve got.
